Three Dads Popcorn:

Ever heard of superfood popcorn? New to the shelves at Brooklyn Fare, Three Dads Popcorn offers a healthy take on a classic snack. Made with organic non-GMO California corn that has been air popped (instead of in oil) and flavored with fortified nutritional yeast to give it its cheesy flavor, Three Dads vegan cheese flavored popcorn is made from whole grain and contains 4 grams of protein per serving. Used as a cheese substitute, nutritional yeast has a cheesy, nutty flavor, and is naturally an excellent source of protein, fiber, and B vitamins. Challenge yourself to snack healthier this winter!

Ever & Ever + Proud Source aluminum water bottles:

Aluminum is an amazing renewable resource that can be recycled infinitely without losing quality.  According to The Aluminum Association, 75% of all aluminum ever created is still used today. It’s no wonder that aluminum is gaining traction as a reliable alternative to the plastic water bottle. In the U.S., 38-million plastic bottles go unrecycled to landfills per year, each requiring up to 1,000 years to fully disintegrate. At Brooklyn Fare, we’re excited to harbor alternative products as solutions to this global crisis.  Ever & Ever produces a still and sparkling water packed with electrolytes, sporting a pH level of 7.4. Alternatively, Proud Source offers a naturally alkaline, 100% certified pure Rocky Mountain spring water, boasting an impressive pH level of 8.1. Both lines are carried at all three of our locations. Don’t forget to recycle the can once you’re done, or reuse it!

Cado Avocado Frozen Dessert:

Avocado lovers, rejoice — you can now enjoy your favorite fruit in frozen form with Cado Avocado Ice Cream! The first of its kind, Cado uses avocados in the base of their delicious vegan, plant-based, gluten and soy free version of the classic dessert. Avocados contain monounsaturated fats, a healthier alternative to milkfat that hardens when chilled. Cado ice creams each have approximately 12 grams of sugar and 170 calories per ½ cup serving, about half of the respective amounts of its cream-based counterparts. Check out some of the flavors available, like Cherry Amaretto Chip, Salted Caramel Swirl, Simply Lemon or Mint Chocolate Chip.

Oswald Chia Smash:

A newcomer out of Brooklyn that launched earlier this year, jam out with Oswald Chia Smash’s alternative take on jam, available in Blueberry, Strawberry, and Raspberry. Each jam is made with only four ingredients: fruit, lemon juice, dates, and  superfood, chia seed. Loaded with nutrients and antioxidants, chia seeds are whole grain, gluten free, and a fantastic source of fiber. Spread the smash over toast, add it to your favorite yogurt, or layer it on a PB&J for an even healthier spin on a classic!

Recess Sparkling Water:

What could be better than a healthy, non-alcoholic drink to help you unwind and de-stress? Um, nothing! Have you tried Recess Sparkling Water? Run, don’t walk! Infused with hemp extracts and adaptogens, the sparkling water comes in three delicious flavors: Blackberry Chai, Peach Ginger, and Pomegranate Hibiscus. Said to support the body’s ability to cope with physical and mental stress, adaptogens are groups of specific herbs, tubers, and mushrooms that help to regulate the body back to a normal state of calm homeostasis. Sound too good to be true? Take a couple sips and you’ll be converted. A holiday survival must-have!
